1950's Japanese Chirimen Silk Shirt

This one-of-a-kind kimono silk shirt was hand sewn by Tania in Miami, FL. The shirt is made from a rarely found fabric which is very popular amongst Antique Japanese textile aficionados.
Look closely and you'll find "The Stalker" (ストーカー) embroidered on the back of the shirt in red.

Fabric Type: Light-weight chirimen (crepe) silk, slight drape with background being creamy tan; non-sheen, textured to touch; printed, designs on one side only.

Colors: Background is creamy tan with pastel greens, mustards and reds (flowers); boundaries of hexagonal shapes are in tiny dotted lines which are dark pastel green.

Motifs: Chrysanthemums inside of hexagonal shapes aligned in geometric grid; consistent throughout.
